How Fabric is Printed

Ken Kaufman of Robert Kaufman created this video while visiting their printing plants in Japan and Korea.  It walks through the process of creating a fabric, from design concept through choosing colors, then to harvesting and preparing the fabric, selecting the inks, approving the design and the final printing.  If there’s even a little fabric nerd in you, this is totally fascinating–I love the part at the end where you see a single fabric going through eight printing screens, each a different color but all the same design, and creating yard after yard of lovely fabric!
