Our Big Move, and Sew Liberated Trunk Show Details

If you’re following me on Twitter, you’ve already heard that Whipstitch is MOVING!  That’s right: we’ve signed a new lease on a bigger space over in West Midtown.   We’re so excited and looking forward to being in a larger space where all the dreams I have for Whipstitch can come true.

Here’s what I can tell you: Our new space is SIX times larger than our current one, the classroom is TWICE the size (but classes will stay the same size, meaning more room for everyone!), and our inventory is about to TRIPLE.  ALL the fabrics and trims and notions (and a whole lot of new ones) will be in the shop full time, with our new full staff, so you can have your fabric cut to order whenever you like.  Plus, because we’re located in the Brickworks development over on Atlanta’s west side, there are plenty of coffee shops and restaurants and great boutiques for you to peruse while you’re visiting us!

Construction is underway–I’ll go check in this week and snap some photos for you.  It’s going to take a wee bit longer than we thought–we’d hoped to be in this Saturday so we’d have a seamless transition from our current Beehive location, but it’s looking more like March 15th or so.  That means the Sew Liberated trunk show has been PUSHED BACK.  The new dates are March 15-29, in the new shop location!  Can’t wait to share all the moving details as we get this major undertaking underway, and so excited to host all of you–virtually and physically–in the improved Whipstitch.

Happy stitching!

UPDATED:  We’re holding over the trunk show by popular demand, and would love to have you come down and see it through April 2!

Congratulations on your new location! You all are going to be the coolest fabric store in town. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that you will offer dress-making classes similar to the ones offered here: http://www.glitzkrieg.biz/schedule/schedule.html#dressofthemonth. (Keeping fingers crossed.) If you did that, all my crafting dreams would have come true!
