Have a guild or sewing group and want to bring in a workshop or speaker? I am really flattered and fortunate to have been invited to do just that for a number of groups around the Southeast, and I’d love to hear about yours! I teach groups of (almost) all sizes in techniques ranging from the super basics of how to use your machine all the way through quilting skills, garment construction, and patternmaking. Workshops range from one hour to four hours, depending on the topic, and come complete with handout and post-workshop email contact.
I have also been invited to lecture guilds and groups for their regular meetings, and have the. best. time doing it. I have spoken on the topics “The Internet & the Modern Sewing Movement” and “Social Media and Modern Quilting,” and would cheerfully do so again–or take suggestions from your group for the topic you’re most interested in discussing that might intersect with my own skills and experiences! Lectures are one hour maximum, excluding Q&A, and come complete with a schmancy slide show and at least one handout.
