I’ve been doing a lot of sewing around here, but most of it is stuff I can’t show you–either for my current e-course (we’re up to the button-up collared shirt and they are cuuuute) or for semi-secret projects that aren’t quite ready to be shared. So while my video uploads for my e-course lessons, I spend time fussy cutting the squares for the Chain Reaction quilt* I’m planning for our boy–rather than sit on my hands during that downtime, the somewhat mindless work of cutting 30 squares exactly the same size is soothing. Despite my recent purchase, this has not been my best week–and it’s only Tuesday!–so I’m really enjoying having some quiet work for my hands that doesn’t have a deadline and isn’t taxing my brain and lets me drift off into daydreaming for a bit. Throw in some “Murder, She Wrote” re-runs on Netflix Instant, and I think my week is getting better already…
