Project details: With thanks for some great advice in making this go smoothly, this project was a fly-by-the-seat-of-your-pants project, and took about 4ish hours (not including snack breaks). The pattern was made by ripping apart the original car seat cover. The main fabric here is from Sandi Henderson’s Meadowsweet collection, with canopy contrast from Sweetwater’s Make Life collection for Moda. The accents are from Patty Young’s Mezzanine collection. Interior of the canopy is lined in Kaffe Fassett’s shot cotton. Batting is Kyoto Bamboo–naturally antibacterial! (All these fabrics, incidentally, are available from the Whipstitch Fabrics shop.)

I just read Dana’s post about her awesome stripe cover and was like, well, my toile one is pretty, but i do really want to make my own now…now i won’t feel bad tearing up my perfectly okay toile one when the time comes, maybe just add a different side instead of the boring black with white checks. you did a wonderful inspiring job
