Odds are pretty good you won’t hear much from me this week. Friday is MOVING DAY and I am in full-on frantic panic mode. I have a class to teach, regular old work to do, a quilt to finish that’s going with me when I leave town on Saturday (yes, the day after we move), three meetings and two appointments, a vacation for six for which to pack, oh–and the entire house to box up. A house of six individuals and ALL THEIR STUFF.
Look, I’m sweating so hard I didn’t even take a photo. I am elated and excited and salivating with anticipation, and at the same time it has just finally hit me that this is REALLY happening, and I’d better get a move on. Plus there are always those drawers you forget about, and you think you’re done packing, and then it turns out you’re not, and you kinda fold in half because you’re out of boxes AND tape and it just seems really daunting to go get MORE packing materials. Whew.
Think warm thoughts for us all, and we’ll see you on the other side!!

June 21, 2011 at 10:18 amGood luck with the move! If I wasn’t some 4000 miles away I’d offer to come help pack. I’ve sort of become an expert after 3 moves in 3.5 years.

you. will. get. through. it. Just remember to breath and in the end it will happen.
