I really ought to be in bed right now. Seriously. I have to be up and looking my very prettiest at 6.30 in the morning.
Why, you ask?
The Good Day Atlanta team from FOX-5 is shooting their entire show from the brand-spanking new Whipstitch Lounge in the morning. All two hours of it.
I know, right? How cool is that? We’ve got a pile of media coverage, mostly because there’s all this talk about the “new” craft movement. I get to talk about the Craft Gap (more on that tomorrow in a separate post–it’s my pet Anthropology of Sewing hypothesis of the moment), the fabric lines that are in the shop and on their way, all the classes and workshops going on at Whipstitch, and how much fun I’m having. Plus, four of my intrepid students are joining me at that unnatural hour (out of the sheer goodness of their hearts, I might add) to demonstrate our monthly sewing circle. I’m thinking it won’t be BYOB like it usually is, though.
Check back Monday afternoon for a link to the video, or watch in the morning, locals: FOX-5 from 7-9 a.m.
